Hey!
So the family and I decided we were going to go to Wednesday Classes at our church. I am also taking my best friend's two and four year old that way they can come play with Ambrielle. To keep up with my notes I decided to make a notebook for the class as well. I normally like to use just composition not books but I didn't like the size of them. The notebook I choose fits perfectly into my purse along with my Bible.
I used a this notebook.
I used some paper from the Paper Studio's Poteeka Soufflé and just some scrap tan piece for the edge. I used Ranger's Archival Coffee ink for the stamping. The stamps are Inkadinkado Good News and Paper Inspiration "Small Flourish Cross." I also made a little "pocket" for some of the handouts that we will be getting through out the class.
The paper is from the same paper pack. I made another notebook that I might give to my sister-in-law but don't know yet. I used a regular composition notebook and a mini one as well.
These I use a Momenta atd Super Paper Pad but for the life of me I can't find the name of the pad, LOL. I also used the "Small Flourish Cross" for the big notebook and I used Stampabilities "Love is Patient 02" which is the Bible verse 1 Corinthians 13:4-13.
I hope you have a great day!
God Bless!

Minion
I just made a minion. It was all thanks to my husband. First I made this mummy from the "Mini Monsters" cartidge.
Then I showed it to my husband and he asks "Is that a minion?" Then it clicked in place that the mummy has the right shape to be a minion! So I then used a pair of overalls from the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge and trimmed the overalls to fit the body and I got this:

Inspiration
So about a month ago I was watch Kristina Werner's YouTube channel and I hadn't watched anything for a while but decided to go back and see some of her older posts. Kristina is a very talented craft and card maker. She is very inspirational with all of her cards and videos she makes. I couldn't help but get inspired by her Friday Focus videos that were her "Inspired By" series. So while we were on vacation I could help but notice my mom's Victoria Secret bag and it got me thinking about making a card with the same design.
This is the bag which in turned I tried this:
And happily it came pretty cute!
Thanks,
Catie!

Operation Write Home
So along with my craft bug bit (j.k.) I have been making things left and right lately. This week I started to make card for Operation Write Home . I think what Sandy has started and all the other card makers have done with this is AMAZING! I found out about OWH via a scrapbook supplies Facebook group. When I first read about it I was like "I really want to do this!" but my will to was "I can do that later." So this week I made it my goal to make 36 cards for the troops. I am doing them by color and theme so far. I have four red Love cards made, 2 pink and 2 purple Thank Yous, and so far only 1 pink Missing You cards. I have the other missing yous ready to be made but Baby Brie came down stairs so I had to feed her.
Here is a sample of what I have gotten done so far. I have a mild obessation with carnival tickets and mustaches. I figured I could at least abate the carnival ticket this go around. I don't have a ticket corner punch but I have been using my 1/2" circle punch to cut the corners. They aren't perfect or anything but it works and I like the way they came out. :D
I've also been using white/tan twine that I got at Michael's almost two years ago. I am ALMOST out of it though! :O I have enough to do two more cards and that it. I live 3 hours away from the nearest M's to see if they still have some. I checked Hobby Lobby yesterday as well but I didn't like there variety. The twine I am using is from the jewlery making not the scrapbooking supplies. I love the Baker's twine that everyone sells but it is just SO expensive!
I also love Prisma colored pencils and Copic markers but they are too expensive for me as well. :( So for markers I use Sharpies (works okay, the two hearts on the right I did with Sharpies) and Crayola colored pencils. I know that for the best quality you have pay more but some people (like me) have to find alternatives.
I also just used an A2 box of card from HL. The patterned papers are all HL's line of papers. The flower stamp is one that I found on clearance at Walmart by Studio G, I can't seem to find the name of it though. The heart one is "Winged Heart" by Stampabilities. The sentiments are from TPC's "Greetings Clear Stamps". (I belive TPC is also one of the house brand's of HL)
I better hope off here. I need to get ready since Ambrielle has a play date with her friends today!
Love and God Bless!

Crafts
I have been in a very crafty mood for a couple days. Part of today's was spent cleaning my room but that is fine. That helped me find stuff I was looking for anyway. :P
The yellow one I cover up because I made it for a friend who lost her daughter recently. I don't want to blast the image or name to help keep my friends private life just that.
